Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School (PPDS) is proudly established in Pinecrest, Florida, and has been serving our community since 1962. We are dedicated to nurturing young minds in a safe, loving environment, fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

We serve children 18 months through Senior Kindergarten in our Day School. We also provide an after-school care program for Pinecrest Elementary children.

Rich History

With over 60 years of experience, we are committed to providing exceptional early childhood education. Our goal is to make school a joyful and exciting experience for every child. We celebrate each child for who they are today, while nurturing their growth for the future. Over the decades, our curriculum has evolved to remain age-appropriate, creative, nurturing, and fun in every class at Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School!

Comprehensive Programs

We offer wonderful programs for children ages 18 months through Kindergarten, designed to spark curiosity and instill a love for learning from the very beginning. We implement The Creative Curriculum by exploring a new theme weekly/bi-weekly which allows us to introduce academic concepts through music, movement, art, literature and hands-on activities.

Holistic Learning Experience

Our curriculum teaches pre-reading, pre-writing, and pre-math skills through art, songs, games, and a mix of structured and unstructured activities.

Guided by The Creative Curriculum philosophy, we believe that young children learn best through hands-on experiences. We balance teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, responding to each child’s unique learning style and interests. This engaging approach fosters a passion for discovery through creative play and exploration.

Faith-Centered Values &
Character Development

We integrate Christian values into our daily activities, fostering a strong moral foundation for our students. Throughout the year, all children participate in acts of kindness, such as making cards for residents at East Ridge Retirement Village and collecting soup cans for a local homeless shelter in honor of the SOUPer Bowl.

Through these efforts, our children learn that love for others extends beyond our campus.

Qualified and Caring Staff

Our experienced educators are passionate about teaching and dedicated to providing personalized attention to help each child reach their full potential. We offer both Preschool and Kindergarten programs, licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

While our school can accommodate up to 282 students, we prioritize small class sizes to ensure every child receives individualized attention and can truly blossom.

Community and Family Engagement

At Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School, we believe education is a partnership between school and home. We actively involve families in community events, fostering strong connections that enhance the learning experience.

You’ll have ample opportunities to engage with your child’s teacher, volunteer in the classroom, and visit the school.

Beautiful Campus

Our well-equipped facilities and safe outdoor spaces provide the perfect backdrop for exploration and growth. Children learn through active exploration of their environment and therefore the environment plays a critical role in learning.

In the past several years we have upgraded our campus and expanded our facilities to meet the needs and expectations of our teachers and the children we serve.
